Description MCM has a vacancy for a long-term expert (contractual) assignment based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with an initial 12-month term and the possibility of extension, typically for up to two additional years, subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. The IMF’s Monetary and Capital Markets Department (MCM), in collaboration with the IMF’s East Africa Regional Technical Assistance Center (AFRITAC East), based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Resident Financial Market Infrastructures (FMIs) Advisor to deliver training and technical assistance (TA) on various aspects of FMI policy and oversight, cross-border payments, and digital innovation. AFRITAC East supports the capacity of its eight member countries (Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda) as well as the East African Community (EAC), [1] to enhance and develop their national payment systems, broader FMI ecosystems, cross-border payments, and digital innovation.
