Org. Setting and Reporting The Senior Communications Officer is located in the Radio Miraya Unit within the Communications and Public Information Section of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), Juba. The incumbent reports directly to the Chief, Communication and Public Information and sets the strategic direction for Radio Miraya, leads the production and dissemination of radio news and programming in English and Arabic and content for digital platforms, oversees the maintenance of studio and transmission equipment, and establishes and maintains relationships with key stakeholders within UNMISS and externally, such as including United Nations agencies, funds and programmes, senior government officials, civil society and local community representatives, academia, and media.
