Org. Setting and Reporting This position is located in the Transport Section of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) duty station Juba. Juba is classified in the "E" category and as a non-family duty station. The Transport Assistant will report to Fleet Management Transport Officer. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Transport Officer, the Transport Assistant will be responsible for the installation, configuration and set up of the passive fleet management devices for multiple vehicle variants. To this end the incumbent shall perform the following duties: • Plan, coordinate and oversee the installation, set up and configuration of passive fleet management devices (carlog) on selected vehicles. • Develop and implement the installation schedules for the fleet management devices while ensuring that all project milestones are met on time. • Conduct the physical installation of fleet management devices in various vehicle types while ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards. • Supervise and allocate tasks to Carlog Unit Technicians and ensure timely installations with the set timelines. • Carry out functional testing and quality assurance checks to…
