About this role
Purpose of consultancy The purpose of the consultancy is to provide technical support in reviewing, updating and developing (if required) national maternal health guidelines, standards, service delivery packages, standard operating procedures (SOPs), clinical protocols, quality assessment tools and training materials to strengthen the quality, accessibility and standardization of maternal health services across all levels of care in Myanmar. Background Maternal mortality remains a significant public health challenge in Myanmar. While various maternal health guidelines and service delivery standards have been developed over the years, there is a need to review and harmonize existing documents based on current WHO recommendations, evidence-based practices and the evolving health system context. To improve quality of care and ensure standardized maternal health services across different levels of care, it is planned to review and update national maternal health standards and develop a comprehensive package of maternal health guidance documents.
