About this role
Organizational Context: UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. UN Women operates in Paraguay as a programme presence in close coordination with the regional office. UN Women works closely with the Resident Coordinator’s office and partner UN agencies, funds and programmes to advance women’s empowerment under the framework of the UN Cooperation Framework. The incumbent will also dedicate approximately thirty per cent of her or his time to support UN interagency coordination at the regional level.
