About this role
Under the overall supervision of the Deputy Regional Director – Management (DRD-M) in Dakar, and the direct supervision of the Project Finance and Budget Officer – Migrant Protection, Return and Reintegration Programme for Sub-Saharan Africa (MPRR-SSA) in close coordination with the Senior Regional Programme Coordinator (MPRR-SSA), the Finance Officer (MPRR-SSA) will assist the Project Finance and Budget Officer (MPRR-SSA) in the programmes budget, accounts, and financial reports of all the implementing Country Offices (COs), provide support to the programmatic unit of the MPRR-SSA team in the areas of financial monitoring and reporting. The Finance Officer (MPRR-SSA) will work closely with the European Commission Compliance Unit in IOM Global Office Brussels, Regional Office, as well as central units at Headquarters (HQ). The MPRR-SSA is an EU-funded programme that is implemented in 16 countries of sub-Saharan Africa, including Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Chad, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Somalia, and Sudan.
