Org. Setting and Reporting This position is located in the Web Unit/Communications Section in the External Outreach Service of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva, Switzerland. The incumbent reports to the Web Officer, Head of the Web Unit. Responsibilities Within delegated authority, the Web Content Management Officer will be responsible for the following duties: 1. Works on maintaining and developing the OCHR website in the UN official languages: English/French/Spanish/Arabic/Chinese/Russian by: - working with the Web Unit to plan and develop, within the context of the Content Management System, dynamic, interactive web pages, site navigation strategies, and continuous improvement to www.ohchr.org; - regularly managing and coordinating translation progress and needs, and setting priority areas for multilingual development in the Arabic/Chinese/French/Russian/Spanish sites, using user feedback, web traffic reports, and ad hoc surveys; - developing strategic partnerships and negotiating agreements with academic brother institutions for high-quality translations of materials for the website; - consolidating contributed and/or…
