Work With Us Engineering Assistant Apply Now DRC Uganda is currently looking for highly qualified and motivated individuals to join our dynamic team as Engineering Assistants (02). The overall purpose of the role: The Engineering Assistant will provide technical support and quality assurance for shelter and infrastructure activities implemented across Bidibidi, Rhino Camp and Imvepi refugee settlements. He/she will support technical assessments, preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates, monitoring of renovation and construction works in close coordination with contractors, Supply Chain and relevant programme teams.For cash-for-shelter assistance, the role holder will conduct technical assessments of referred households to determine shelter repair needs, prepare household-specific BOQs that will inform the appropriate cash transfer value, and provide technical guidance and monitoring to households throughout the shelter repair process. They will also support verification of completed works, while coordinating with communities and relevant stakeholders throughout implementation.
