About this role
Result of Service Reliable, secure, and highly available Oracle database services; effective backup, recovery, and disaster recovery readiness; optimized performance and capacity; automated routine DBA tasks; and timely technical support to application owners and developers. Work Location Remote Expected duration 8 months from 1 November 2026-30 June 2027. Duties and Responsibilities The consultant will be expected to perform the following tasks: • Deploy, certify, and manage Oracle Servers, including high availability, RMAN backups, disaster recovery, and failover exercises. • Monitor availability, alerts, incidents, performance, and baseline deviations. • Perform capacity planning and system upgrades, including cumulative updates and migrations. • Use AWR, ASH, and custom scripts to proactively monitor and tune database performance. • Automate routine DBA tasks and maintain automation/shell scripts. • Manage database space, accounts, indexes, statistics, and resource utilization. • Perform database and OS-level tuning, identify bottlenecks, and work with Oracle Support via SRs. • Support change management, ad-hoc backups, migrations, database refreshes, and installation…
