The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian nationals for the position below at the Institute’s Headquarters in Ibadan. Position: Laboratory Technician (2 Positions) Contract: 6 months' renewable contract Location: Ibadan Closing Date: 21 October 2026 DUTIES · Carry out SAH production activities including nodal cutting, establishment and multiplication cassava materials. · Monitor plant growth and maintain appropriate environmental and hygiene conditions in the screen house. · Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards during all SAH operations. · Identify and report pests, diseases, contamination, and other production challenges. · Maintain proper labelling, identification, and handling of cassava genotypes and planting materials. · Ensure proper handling, storage and maintenance of SAH consumables, tools and other production materials. · Keep accurate records of plantlet production, transplanting, survival, and other production data. · Assist with nursery management and routine management. · Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
