CIMMYT is seeking an Associate Scientist - Trait Development and Deployment Breeder to contribute to the development and deployment of improved crop varieties. The successful candidate will focus on integrating advanced breeding techniques and trait development to enhance yield, quality, and stress resistance in target crops. This role involves designing and conducting experiments, analyzing breeding data, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support CIMMYT’s mission of sustainable agriculture and food security. Responsibilities Design and implement breeding programs targeting specific traits for crop improvement. Deploy advanced breeding techniques including molecular markers, genomic selection, and phenotyping. Analyze breeding data and interpret results to guide decision-making. Collaborate with researchers, technicians, and partners to facilitate trait development and variety release. Maintain accurate records and contribute to scientific publications and reports.
