About this role
Result of Service The consultant will support the assessment and development of project proposals submitted by Member States for the 2026 Call for Proposals, ensuring their alignment with UNRSF priorities, Fund eligibility criteria, and relevant road safety standards. in addition to submitting a regional project proposal in line with UNRSF criteria. Work Location Remote Expected duration 2 months Duties and Responsibilities Background ESCWA plays an active role in supporting Member States in accessing funding through the United Nations Road Safety Fund (UNRSF) Call for Proposals, including assistance with the preparation, review, and submission of project documents aligned with the UNRSF’s proposal guidelines. For the 2026 cycle, the UNRSF will prioritize programmes that support the adoption and implementation of road safety laws and standards aligned with relevant UN legal instruments. Priority will be given to country- or city-level interventions that address key gaps identified in the 2023 Global Status Report on Road Safety (GSRRS).
