About this role
Work Location Flexible Expected duration 3-6 months Duties and Responsibilities The Group of Human Rights Experts on Nicaragua was established by the Human Rights Council on 31 March 2022 to investigate all alleged human rights violations and abuses committed in Nicaragua since April 2018, including their possible gender dimension, and provide guidance on justice and accountability. The Group is composed of three independent experts and is supported by a Secretariat comprised of United Nations officials based in Panama City. The intern will work under the general guidance and supervision of the coordinator of the Secretariat of the Group of Human Rights Experts on Nicaragua and the direct supervision of different members of the Secretariat. The intern will contribute to the daily work of the Secretariat of the Group of Human Rights Experts on Nicaragua. Specific tasks may include but are not limited to: - Collecting and recording open-source information relating to human rights violations in Nicaragua; - Reviewing, cataloguing and consolidating relevant information into structured datasets; -…
