Work Location NAIROBI Expected duration 6 MONTHS Duties and Responsibilities The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority. It sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system, and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment. This internship is based in the UNEP Communication Division at the Nairobi duty station. The purpose of this internship is to support communications activities related to World Environment Day, Champions of the Earth, Young Champions of the Earth, the UN Environment Assembly and other initiatives that are key to the priorities of the UNEP Communication Division. Under the general guidance of the Director of Communications and direct supervision of the Communication Lead, Special Events, the intern will: • Assist in the development of a wide range of communication materials, including meeting notes, email correspondence, draft background papers, social media content, and digital analyses. • Support coordination within the Communication Division and with other departments and…
