Opportunity Type: Regular Summary: The Senior Director of Housing Disaster Resilience and Recovery will lead and coordinate efforts to strengthen the housing resilience in communities where Habitat works in the context of disasters and conflict. Where appropriate the work will be done through the implementation of Habitat’s Pathway to Permanence approach that focuses on the connection between short-term and long-term interventions. The Senior Director supervises a team of disaster risk reduction and recovery specialists and works in collaboration with global and regional departments. The role involves leading the Housing Disaster Resilience and Recovery strategy, program design, technical assistance for the network, procuring funding in coordination with other departments, and engaging with external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Lead the Housing Disaster Resilience and Recovery team, including line management, performance evaluation and professional development.
