About this role
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME WHO country offices and Regional Office Budget Centres support Member States, countries and areas to advance agreed public health priorities and achieve measurable health impact. The immediate strategic objective is to ensure that country, multicountry, regional and divisional strategies are translated into coherent operational plans and that results, budgets, resources, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning remain connected throughout the programme cycle. Results-based programme management is an essential enabling function for WHO country offices and the Regional Office. It connects strategic priorities and expected results with operational plans, results-based budgeting, resource allocation and management, implementation, performance monitoring, evaluation, reporting, learning and course correction.
