About this role
Org. Setting and Reporting These positions are located across several units within the Security Section of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), including Security Administration and Support, the Guard Force Unit and the Country Security Operations Centre (CSOC) in Kabul, as well as the Field Security Office in Kunduz. Under the overall supervision of the Principal Security Adviser for the Integrated Security Workforce in Afghanistan, the Field Security Guards assigned to Kabul report directly to the respective supervisors of their assigned units, including Security Administration and Support, the Guard Force Unit and the Country Security Operations Centre. The Field Security Guard assigned to the Kunduz Field Security Office reports directly to the Area Security Adviser in Kunduz. Responsibilities Within delegated authority, the Field Security Guard, GL-2, may be responsible for the following duties: • Controls entry and ensures security of the organizational premises and staff. • Undertakes routine patrols of assigned areas, maintaining continual surveillance against fire, water leakage, and any other occurrence that might damage premises or staff, and…
