About this role
This recruitment effort aims to build a pool of team members who can be mobilized in an emergency; it is not for a specific assignment that needs to be filled immediately. As part of its contribution to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement’s emergency health response, the French Red Cross (CRF), through its International Operations Directorate (DOI) and its International Emergency Unit (PUI), mobilizes medical and public health resources that can be rapidly deployed in response to humanitarian crises: natural disasters, , population displacements, and epidemics. Depending on the context, activities may include primary and emergency health care (triage, stabilization, wound care, referral), infection prevention and control, epidemic surveillance and response, community health, and support for local health facilities. The Senior Medical Officer has direct operational responsibility for the implementation of emergency medical and clinical activities. He supervises and mentors the clinical team in the field, ensuring compliance with quality standards, medical protocols, and best humanitarian practices.
