Setting and Reporting This position is located within the Judicial Support and Cooperation Section (JSCS) of the International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism to Assist in the Investigation and Prosecution of Persons Responsible for the Most Serious Crimes under International Law Committed in the Syrian Arab Republic since March 2011 (IIIM). The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the JSCS Information Analyst (P3). Responsibilities Within delegated authority, the Assistant Analyst (Evidence Reviewer) is responsible for the following duties: - Provides support in relation to research, review and analysis of documentary evidence and other material for determination of relevance; - Assists in collation of multi-source information and identification of information gaps and/or inconsistencies to assist in the decision-making process relating to further investigative activities in support of responses to requests for assistance; - Provides support in relation to research and preparation of material for use by investigators; - Assists in open-source investigations as directed by supervisors; - Conducts focused research, review and undertakes preliminary…
