The development of this market will support the global organization in expanding its supporter base and building a stable and predictable income stream from the private sector within Malaysia. Ultimately this will mean UNHCR Malaysia can provide even more support to refugees and other persons of concern. Since 2025, UNHCR Malaysia has been growing in individual donor support, through monthly donations. Donor Care & Development (DCD) team is a newly set up team in 2025, to manage its pool of individual donors – through retention, development and engagement activities – with donor-centric communications to cultivate loyalty.
