Org. Setting and Reporting The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) is the UN headquarters in Africa and the representative office of the Secretary-General. UNON supports programme implementation of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and the Resident Coordination System (RCS) globally, as well as other UN offices in Kenya, by providing administrative, conference and information services. Under the general supervision of the Chief, Planning and Coordination Section, the incumbent will be responsible for the following: Responsibilities Conference Management: 1. Initiating and coordinating actions covering conference services activities, including planning, scheduling, organizing, recruitment, conference venues assessment, facilities usage optimization, coordination of services of meetings and conferences including documentation and follow up actions. 2. Providing advice to substantive secretariats and Governments with respect to UN policies and practices for conferences held away from established headquarters and host Government Agreements. 3.
