Description : 1. POST CONTEXT Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) is the strategic level command responsible for the planning, preparation, conduct and execution of NATO operations, missions, activities and tasks as directed by Council in order to achieve the strategic objectives of the Alliance. The Plans Directorate directs, monitors, assesses and coordinates long-term planning, as well as policy matters, readiness, education, training, exercise, evaluation and partnerships staff functions. The J7 Division plans, coordinates and executes the Education, Training, Exercise and Evaluation (ETEE) functions and contributes to NATO-wide ETEE. It manages the NATO Lessons Identified/Lessons Learned (LI/LL) process within the HQ. The Collective Training and Exercise (TRX) Branch is responsible for the formulation and teaching of TRX Programming and Planning policies and procedures, the development and execution of the NATO Military Training and Exercise Programme, the coordination of SHAPE contributions to TRX, and the delivery of the NATO Multi Domain Exercises.
