About this role
Result of Service Consultants hired using this GJO are expected to conduct evaluations of various projects and/or programmes and/or sub-programmes and/or any other substantive and/or operational component, and/or office and/or unit of work, and/or strategy and/or thematic topic for the UN Secretariat. Work Location While the locations will vary according to the requirements of the hiring office engaging the Evaluation Specialist, in some instances, it is expected that work might be performed remotely. Expected duration Duration of the assignment varies, depending on the requirements of the assignment that the consultant is being recruited for. Duties and Responsibilities In his report on Shifting the management paradigm in the United Nations: ensuring a better future for all paragraph 61 (A/72/492), the Secretary-General indicated his intention to strengthen the evaluation capacity of the Secretariat, in particular providing support to smaller units that do not have a meaningful evaluation capacity.
